When dimensioning the substructure for trapezoidal sheeting, it is important to consider the span of the sheets and the load they will be subjected to. The substructure should be designed to support the weight of the sheeting as well as any additional loads such as snow or wind. The spacing of the substructure members should be determined based on the span of the sheets and the load requirements. It is also important to consider the material and strength of the substructure members to ensure they can adequately support the trapezoidal sheeting. **

To properly insulate a roof with trapezoidal sheeting, one can install insulation material between the trusses or rafters underneath the sheeting. This can be done by using rigid foam boards, spray foam insulation, or mineral wool insulation. It is important to ensure that the insulation material fits snugly between the trusses or rafters to prevent any gaps where heat can escape. Additionally, a vapor barrier should be installed to prevent moisture buildup within the insulation. **

A self-made tent out of plastic sheeting can be okay in emergency situations or temporary shelter needs. However, it may not provide adequate protection from the elements in the long term and may not be as durable or stable as a professionally made tent. It is important to consider the weather conditions and duration of use when deciding whether a plastic sheeting tent is suitable. **

Yes, plastic sheeting can be used between the foundation and the first layer of stones to help prevent moisture from seeping into the foundation. This can help protect the foundation from water damage and potential structural issues. However, it's important to ensure proper drainage and ventilation to prevent any moisture from getting trapped and causing issues such as mold or mildew. Additionally, using a geotextile fabric or drainage board may also be considered as alternatives to plastic sheeting. **

A self-made tent made of plastic sheeting can be okay in emergency situations or for temporary use, but it is not ideal for long-term shelter. Plastic sheeting may not provide adequate protection from the elements and may not be very durable. It is important to consider the potential risks and limitations of using plastic sheeting as a shelter option. **

To completely remove your lawn without using chemicals, a tiller, or plastic sheeting, you can try sheet mulching. This involves layering cardboard or newspaper over the grass and then covering it with a thick layer of organic mulch like wood chips or straw. Over time, the grass will die off and decompose, allowing you to plant new vegetation in the area. Another option is solarization, where you cover the grass with a clear plastic tarp and let the sun's heat kill off the grass. This method may take a few weeks to be effective. **

To use plastic sheeting under hedge mulch for wood chips in the garden, first, clear the area of any debris or weeds. Then, lay down the plastic sheeting and secure it in place with garden stakes or rocks. Next, spread the wood chips over the plastic sheeting, making sure to cover the entire area. The plastic sheeting will help to suppress weed growth and retain moisture in the soil, while the wood chips will provide a decorative and functional mulch for the garden. **
